Letter from Chapman’s Sport Center:
Hi Don,
I just wanted to pass along a recent experience I had with Mid-Michigan Fiberglass in Bay City. Late this summer, I had the unfortunate luck of bumping a sea wall with my Tyee which caused some damage to the side of the boat. After the email exchange below, I called the store asking if Chapman’s could recommend a repair facility and the gentleman I spoke with suggested Mid-Michigan.
Steve and his team just finished the repair and it looks fantastic - you can’t even tell that the boat was repaired. On top of the excellent work they did, Steve went Toe-to-Toe with the insurance adjuster and actually got them to revise (up) the settlement to ensure a quality repair was made.
While we were waiting for the insurance paperwork to process, the weather was turning colder and I mentioned to Steve that I didn’t winterize the boat prior to dropping it off. Much to my surprise, he offered to take it in to get winterized and brought it back to the shop when it was done. I was not expecting this level of service.
I’ve been involved with customer service in various capacities for 35 years and I couldn’t have been more satisfied with the level of customer service Steve Schnettler delivered. This experience only affirms the choice I made buying from Chapman’s – from your commitment to customer satisfaction to the business partners you choose to work with, it doesn’t get any better.
Hope you’re doing well Don and I’ll look for you at the Novi show in Jan. I have a friend who’s interested – I won’t let him go anywhere else!
